This project was made back in 2023. The game I chose to remake for this peoject was Pac-man. Taking the idea of collecting points while being chased by ghosts and obtaining power ups to beat the ghosts for a temporary time, I have decided to make a cute atari remake into my pet guinea pigs. In this project I am planning to stick to 2D art style as a little break from 3D modelling and focusing on a new artstyle that I haven't experienced before (pixel art) and also to improve on my animation sprite sheet making skills. The general Idea I have thought about is where my guinea pigs ‘Reo’ is on a little adventure around the house finding where all his family disappeared to. I have 5 guinea pigs in total and planning to make 3 different levels where Reo wonders around the big maze with chasers chasing him and as he is collecting veggies on the way he finds a key to unlock specific areas where his family guinea pigs are staying. Also the points will be veggies which he can trade with customisable gachapon and in rare cases can obtain ones with boosts. I got the inspiration simply just from my guinea pigs as they love wandering around places and exploring everywhere. They especially travel in groups and if they lose one another they go on a adventure to find them and bring them back to the pack. I thought this was a cute behaviour I could remake into the game.
